Gardiennage position wanted in the Alpes Maritime/Cote d’Azur
We are two loyal, trustworthy & conscientious British guys (43 & 55) who are looking for a live in gardiennage position in the Alpes Maritimes/ Cote d’Azur. Preferably in the Vence/Grasse area.
We have now finished the 2007 season helping friends run a bar/restaurant on a busy international campsite in the area, & are available to start work as gardiens.
Since the end of the season we have, amongst other things, acted as replacement live in gardiens for friends taking official holidays. Whilst there, we performed general surveillance of the property & grounds, basic winter pool maintenance, grocery shopping & preparation of the property for the owner’s arrival, as well as other general maintenance duties.
Previously we had 12 years experience working together in the UK for a property letting agency (references available) which handled 150 properties. Our duties for the agency included gardening, cleaning, interior decorating/design & basic general maintenance. We also took on private contracts (references also available), some of which involved the overseeing of empty properties for people working abroad. Duties here included security & service checks, preparing the property for the owner’s arrival & organising contractors in their absence if needed, i.e. builders, plumbers, gardeners etc.
Apart from the aforementioned skills, between us we have an adequate & ever growing knowledge of the French language, full & clean UK driving license, computer literacy & though not looking for a full time cook’s position, catering experience.
We work well together, are organized, resourceful & both animal friendly.
